As an exception, since we had a really beautiful night tonight... you´re going to enjoy two diaries!

Report from Eldey: Impressive Northern Lights today in the coast of Reykjavik! The tour's beginning  was... well, not the best one. Actually, it was awful! An unexpected rain was drowning down all our hopes from the very beginning. We knew that the sky was supposed to clear down towards 22.00, and the predictions were quite accurate this time! The clouds were fading away and we started to have all the usuals in our sky: The Moon, Orion's belt, The Big Bear, Venus and Mars. And finally even Polaris showed up! But there were no lights to be seen. Until... that faint cloud over Esja turn up to be everything but a cloud after all! So the lights started, quietly, keeping the emotion. They disappeared, of course. But just to show up again and give us a breathtaking night! We truly hope that all our passengers had the same amazing time we, the crew, experienced!

Report from Hafsulan: Tonight our northern lights chasing has been close to perfect ! There was everything: thrilling, suspense, mystery, unfolding, astonishment, joy, awe and satisfaction... The beginning of the journey was proved to be testing for our faith, as light rain was coming down. It was uncertain if and when the sky would clear out. But quickly after departure, a hole appeared in the clouds and stars appeared one after the hour. As time passed by, the hole kept widening until we had a sky almost totally empty of clouds ! We then began to test our cameras settings, and something greenish started to appear on our pictures, between Hvalfjörður and Akranes... After some patience, a faint arch in the sky appeared, and while we were waiting the activity grew stronger and stronger, until what was a ribbon spread out more and gained in intensity. Soon green color was visible to the naked eyes, and activity picked up even more to the point the lights we dancing like a fire and getting bright yellow. What a sight ! It was hardly believable that we were just witnessing a light show, it was like being visited by aliens ! We had a blast, feasting our eyes on the moving lights until they slowly faded away. It was by then time to go back home, our head full of dreams.
