✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: It was a windy night with relatively cloudy skies as we started the tour sailing out from Reykjavik. Our passengers got dressed up in complimentary overalls to keep warm while waiting for northern lights to start. The forecast for the night was promising in terms of aurora activity level, the only thing missing was clear, cloudless patches in the sky. But as we know from experience, Icelandic weather tends to change in a heartbeat and that's what we were counting on tonight in hopes for the sky to clear up a little bit more as the tour went on. We glued our eyes up onto the sky and were taking photos regularly in case our cameras would capture faint green hues before our naked eye does, as usually happens. Patiently we were waiting and eventually there was a little bit of the sky revealed over Mt Esja which is the spot where auroras usually start. However, there was no still no signs of northern lights. For this reason, everyone got a complimentary ticket allowing to join us on another northern lights cruise for free within the next two years. We hope to see our passengers again soon and to get to show them the magical auroras next time!
