Report from Eldey: Another night with clear skies and countless stars in Faxaflói. The forecast looked good for the night and indeed, fairly early into the tour we could already capture green hues on camera just above Mt Esja. Northern Lights were starting ! We were giving them time to get brighter and while waiting, observing star constellations, such as Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, with even some shooting stars here and there. Unfortunately, the lights never got brighter or visible to the naked eye. We want our passengers to see the incredible phenomenon of Aurora Borealis properly and therefore provided everyone with complimentary tickets allowing to come and try again for free on another cruise with us within the next two years.
