✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | 21:00

Report from Eldey: We started the night with high hopes of finally seeing the northern lights. The forecast for the clouds and activity looked promising and it did not take us long before we started to see them on our cameras and even a weak green arch in the sky. It was a good start of the tour and we waited with for the northern lights to get stronger. They were teasing us getting a little bit stronger to then weaker again. One important thing you need to have when looking for the northern lights except for warm clothes (and maybe a hot chocolate) is patience. And with patience we waited. The lights got a little bit stronger again just over the mountain Esja and they were there for a really long time but tonight was a real nail biter. Luckily the sea was calm and no wind or rain so we could easily stay outside and wait which is the best place to see them and to see them as good as possible it is always good to adjust your eyes to the darkness because it can take up to 30 min to adjust out night vision so to see the lights as good as possible. We waited and waited and when we were almost ready to give up and head home the show started! Just above mt. Esja an arch started to appear that grew stronger and stronger almost like a volcanic eruption of northern lights coming from the mountain, growing over the sky and creating three beautiful arches. Our patience payed off and we got an amazing show by the magical aurora borealis tonight!
