Report from Eldey: We knew the forecast was really optimistic for tonight, but we certainly not prepared to have such a good time with the northern lights ! It was one of these days where fate just tells you: "Hey, it's okay, I got this. Sit back, have some tea, and enjoy the show.". Before we even departed, the lights started magnificently vivid and strong, with obvious shades of pink on the bottom edge, and dancing like there's no tomorrow ! All of that while we where still in the harbour, surrounded by light pollution ! And from the moment we left the harbour until we came back, the auroras made sure to stay with us the whole time. At the beginning, while it was not totally dark, the display was enhanced with warm colours from a dying sunset, giving interesting subtleties to the whole scenery. There was moments where the activity was quieting down for a bit, but soon after that it was picking up again, giving us many opportunities to try to capture the capricious phenomenon on our cameras. On top of that, we were navigating on flat sea and almost no wind, which made it infinitely easier for us to take pictures. Tonight, we were queens and kings under a magical sky !
