Report from Eldey: When we were sailing out this evening it took us less than 5 minutes to see the first northern lights. All our passengers headed out on the top deck to watch the stunning display of ever changing lights. It looked like the sky was on green fire for about 15 minutes then the lights got weaker, because some clouds had made their way towards us. So we got to take a break to get something hot to drink and warm ourselves up. After a little while the lights got stronger again and we could enjoy them throughout the tour. They did not reach the brightness of the beginning, but still it was fascinating to watch the green and sometimes even a little red lights making their paths in the sky, following the earth's magnetic force. Then it was time for us to head back, What a great evening full of aurora borealis.
