Report from Eldey: Tonights forecast really was a hunt for the lights - which is what we should always brave to do if we want to see a phenomenon created by nature. We had a great activity, or KP index, just some tricky clouds that were thicker and thinner throughout the night. Even with these clouds though, if we have a high activity we often get lucky and still see the green lights shining through clouds and being super bright when there are gaps. And of these gaps we had several throughout the cruise, letting us see stars in the night sky. Also fireworks kept showing above the city, the last ones remaining from New Years Eve. Just as we thougth with the big gaps we were having we would get lucky, everything pulled together to a thick blanket, much sooner than had been forecasted. As much as we would love to be able to blow away these clouds, this is out of our control. What we can do though is offer everyone a complimentary ticket so they can return once more, or as often as necessary, to chance the northern lights out on the ocean with us.
