Report from Eldey, Elding and Elding II: Tonight the conditions were finally fortunate enough again that we could set out on a cruise and look for northern lights. Next to that the sailing conditions were expected to be great with calm seas, only a little bit of wind and mild temperatures. So many people wanted to take the chance and look for the aurora borealis. We went out and were not disappointed. First only a faint arch appeared across the sky, it grew brighter until the green was clearly visible and we could see it dancing. Always a spectacular and fascinating sight! One just can´t get enough of. Everybody really enjoyed watching the lights grow stronger and weaker and stronger again before it was time for us to return to the old harbour of Reykjavik. Great night out with many people under the beautiful, green northern lights.
