Report from Eldey: We had good weather and nice activity in the forecast for tonight. Apart from a bit of a swell on our way out of the harbour it was in overall a very comfortable journey. For almost two hours we could only enjoy stars shining bright above our heads as northern lights were not giving any signs of their presence. At midnight when we reached limits of our patience we decided to slowly head back. Once that was said a faint shadow appeared above mountains which turned green on camera screens - finally something began to happen - but we were definitely not prepared for what come next. Suddenly a green flare risen from the sea and climbed up to the sky painting it all with bright flares. For the rest of the tour beautiful aurora was dancing above our heads, swirling and pulsing. This show was far beyond our expectations and left us breathless.
