Report from Eldey: The snow covered landscape offered a beautiful backdrop today for our tour. Not much wind and a predicted activity level of 5 made us hopeful to find great northern lights tonight, only the clouds would be able to spoil a nive evening. As it turned out we were pretty lucky with the clouds and the weather. It only snowed at the beginning and the end of the tour, in the middle we saw a lot of stars and even a few shooting stars. Even though the predicted activity level was high, we had to wait for over two hours till we saw the first sign of Northern Lights. They never reached the predicted level, but the green was clearly visible for a little while and many of us were happy to see that after a long wait. Overall a nice evening in the bay with a stunning backdrop and a few northern lights.
