NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 2100

Report from Eldey: After a day full of clouds, rain and hail luck favoured us as the sky cleared ready for our tour. As we set off we could already see many stars. The solar activity was very high tonight which gave us hope of a good night. Levels this high are rare over the course of a year. We got off to a good start. We could already see some faint green lights underneath Ursa Major (the big dipper). Unfortunately, these lights did fade and we did not see any sign of northern lights for a long time. We did get a good look at the Imagine Peace Tower as well as the very bright moon. Perhaps it being so bright harmed our chances at seeing some northern lights, as we need as little light as possible. As we started to head back we could see some faint lights once again. We had a great night looking at the stars with a glimpse of northern lights but we did offer complimentary tickets so our passengers can come back and hopefully see a brighter and more colourful northern light show.
