NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 22:00

Report from Eldey: We were all excited for the first Northern Lights trip of the season and the first since 2019 as unfortunately we had to close down our operation last winter due to COVID. We could see by the forecast the conditions weren’t great but it was only low cloud we were dealing with and that can change quickly. We definitely had to give it a go because the activity was 6/9 on the KP index which is a very high level. Usually we only get 2-3 so we were hopeful. We sailed away from the city lights and waited, and waited, and waited. We were not lucky with them this evening, the clouds blanked the skies and not even a patch of clear sky was seen, also according to the observatory the NL weren't that active either. So tonight was not our night. We offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope their next experience would be a better one. We enjoyed the tour nonetheless.
