NORTHERN LIGHT CRUISE | 21:00

Report from Eldey: As we left Reykjavik we could already see stars with big gaps between the clouds. This gave us great hope with high solar activity predicted for the night ahead. Moments after leaving the harbour we could already see a faint green light, it arched across the sky like a rainbow. Unfortunately, the clouds started to cover this and the sky became very overcast. Some rain even started to fall. But we didn't give up as we know how quickly the clouds can come and go. We were rewarded for our patience. Throughout the next hour we could see green lights every so often with our cameras but also with our eyes. Towards the end of the tour the clouds dispersed and the sky lit up. On our cameras the whole sky appeared green, and with our eyes we could see parts of the sky lighting up. Some beautiful lines began to appear above the clouds. So, we did get to see some northern lights in the sky along with a very bright moon. It was spectacular to see.
