We set of with a gentle wind, calm seas and the skies for the most part covered by a thin layer of clouds. It didn't take too long however for the clouds to part ways and make room for the northern lights! They alternated from faint to strong all night!
The morning tour search for quite some time before eventually finding a very elusive minke whale! In the afternoon, we found at least 13 harbour porpoises throughout the tour. Due to the difficult sightings, however, both tours ended up issuing complimentary tickets. We sincerely hope to see all our guests return for a second chance at wildlife sightings!

After a few cloudy days, we finally had the chance to set sail tonight. There were some gaps in the clouds that allowed us to see some stars, but the sky remained mostly overcast, so we gave out complimentary tickets to everyone on board.
There was a cold breeze in the bay this morning, but with the sunshine and clear visibility we were excited to get out there. We searched far and wide, but sadly we had no luck spotting cetaceans, so we ended up issuing complimentary tickets to our understanding passengers so they can try again another day. The rest of the day was cancelled due to strong winds.

The afternoon tour had a bit of a swell today, but early in the tour we came across 8 harbour porpoises and a lot of birds, including atlantic puffins! On the way back we saw 3 more harbour porpoises, but ultimately we issued complimentary tickets in the hope for better sightings next time. All other tours were cancelled today due to rough conditions.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
This morning we sailed into a stormy sea. The great visibility allowed us to search a vast areas of the bay and we were accompanied by many different seabirds along the way. Despite our best efforts, we saw no signs of cetaceans, so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers. The afternoon tour ended up being cancelled due to unfavourable conditions.

This evening, we had a really promising forecast. As we sailed out of the harbour, we could already see a lot of stars above our heads and soon enough, we saw very faint northern lights above Esja, that only got stronger throughout the night!
We set sail this morning under the bright sunshine and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, no cetaceans were seen, so we issued complimentary tickets to all passengers. In the afternoon we encountered a pod of 8 white-beaked dolphins feeding. They came super close to us, sometimes surfing with the waves!
It was like a perfect summer day this morning, with barely any wind. We made our way to Hafnarfjörður, where we spotted a minke whale! Closer to Reykjavík, we found a pod of about 20 white-beaked dolphins! In the afternoon we saw two pods of white-beaked dolphins consisting of 5 and 30 individuals. They were extremely active and jumping around a lot!

It was a partially cloudy, but there was barely any wind. We could see the northern lights starting to appear, but decided to offer all passengers complimentary tickets since they never grew strong enough to view without the help of our cameras.
