Windy conditions didn't prevent us from sailing out this morning, as we were planning on staying close to shore, sheltering us from the harsh conditions. We quickly saw 4 humpback whales and they put on quite a show (tail lobbing and breaching)! In the afternoon we found the same 4 humpback whales again that were busy feeding!
Not even 10 minutes into the morning tour, we saw 2 humpback whales feeding near the industrial harbour. We then had another 2 humpback whales resting and lunge feeding near a small cove. Again in the afternoon, we sailed for 10 minutes and already found our first humpback whale (of 4 in total). What a lucky tour!

We sailed out spotting some stars in between the gaps of cloud, so we kept out hopes high. Unfortunately, the activity was not in our favour, so we offered complimentary tickets to our passengers for a second try!
It wasn't long until we found a humpback whale resting this morning! We soon found another one feeding and then third humpback whale resting. This afternoon we sailed on two boats and found two humpback whales actively feeding! We then found a 3rd humpback whale and ended with 7 harbour porpoises and a grey seal!

Even if we had some northern lights above the clouds, we unfortunately couldn't see anything. So we decided to give out complimentary tickets so our passengers could come again and try to see the them another night!

We were very positive about the night, but as Northern lights are a natural phenomenon, they are also very unpredictable. We gave out complimentary tickets so our passengers could come again another time!
Not even 3 minutes after we left the harbour this morning, we spotted 2 humpback whales! We sailed further and found a grey seal and a 3rd humpback whale on the other side of the island! In the afternoon we were literally surrounded by 3 humpback whales! Everybody on board was amazed by the sightings of the day!
The sunrise was beautiful this morning, and made the perfect background for our sightings of two humpback whales today. Our afternoon was windy, but as we left the harbour, we spotted a beautiful humpback whale lunge feeding! Not far from it, there was a second humpback whale. We then found 2 more humpback whales.

About halfway into the tour, our cameras started to capture two arches on top of mt. Esja and it didn't take much time for the northern lights to glow much stronger with colours from green to reds and even purples!
About 10 minutes into the morning tour we saw blows belonging to 3 humpback whales that were up to some actions. In the afternoon, we first spotted 2 humpback whales that were lunge feeding in the same area. A few harbour porpoises raced past us and then another humpback whale quickly popped up and joined the others.

All of us aboard were excited and enjoying the music but sadly nature had something else in mind. For that reason we gave out complimentary tickets. This is so everyone can try again another night, free of charge!

With clear skies and calm seas, the conditions were great for tonight's cruise. Soon after sailing out of the harbour, we spotted a green arch of northern lights! Halfway through the tour, the lights became much brighter!
After the safety speech this morning we had already found 3 humpback whales. One of them was extremely close to shore! In the afternoon we soon found three humpback whales in front of Viðey, one of them lifting his pectoral fins above the surface, the other two were busy feeding. We then saw 3 harbour porpoises.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
After 15 minutes of searching in the morning, we eventually found 3 humpback whales and one of them suddenly breached in front of us! Then, in the afternoon we found a humpback whale very close, going for deeper dives. We also saw another two humpback whales and one of them did between 15-20 breaches!!
