Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: we went out faced with the strong ocean winds already by the islands off Reykjavik. We sought shelter and scouted along land; observing snowy-peaked Mount Esja and Mount Akrafjall along the way. Then we turned out into the bay. After about an hour and a half, we spotted a blow that looked like a tall column, not unlike the ones which we see from fin whales for instance. This turned out to be one of the smaller minke whales though. We did see this minke all right several times although it did vanish in between. Then we went to search in other areas; we did see one back at some point but never more than that. However, that one minke made the difference between success and non-success so we were content as we returned to Reykjavik.- Baldur ThorvaldssonTour at 09:00Unfortunately this tour had to be cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions. - Baldur Thorvaldsson
