Tour at 13:00 Report from Elding. Once again it was beautiful day out on the sea. As we were leaving the harbour in Sandgerði we could already see flocks of feeding seabirds which, are always a very good sign and they were. Just like the last two days it only took us about 10 minutes of leaving the harbour before we saw our first whale. A Humpback Whale feeding close to the small icelandic fishing boats. We watched for a while and saw it bring it´s fluke (tail) above the water a couple of times. Whilst we were watching this individual we could see another whale´s blow or spout further out and as there were al lot of fishing boats and another whale watching boat near to this individual we decided to head out to see what whale was the one further offshore. Another Humpback Whale, it turned out to be, and this one we had to be a bit more patient because it did longer dives but still a very nice humpie. All in all another fantastic day out from Sandgerði.

Birds seen on today´s tour included; Razorbills, Guillemots, Little Auks, Gannets, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Seagulls, Eider Ducks, Shags and Cormorants.
