Tour at 13:00

The weather was great during this tour, even less wind and the sun was shining even though it was raining along the coast. We headed to the same area and the Gannets were still there feeding and so were the Minke Whales. We spotted more of them during this tour then the one before and at one point they were all around us, hard to choose which one to follow but we were able to get really close to some of them, seeing them swim for a while right underneath the surface watching the glow from the side flippers. We also spotted briefly several Harbour Porpoises but we were not able to stay with them for very long.

Tour at 09:00

When heading out to Faxaflói bay it was drizzling a bit but not to much and it stopped before we got very far out. We didn't have to sail very far until we spotted a flock of feeding Gannets, around them we found a pod of White-beaked Dolphins. They were very busy gathering fish swimming in circles which made it quite difficult for us to track them but they came several times very close to the boat. Close by we found a Minke Whale and soon there were 2 or 3 of them was difficult to say since they were all very close to each other and similar size. At one point we were able to watch one of the Minke Whales through the surface, it was swimming belly up so we could see the glow through the surface and then it turned around and surfaced so we were able to see the white stripe on the side flippers. We then headed back to the harbour and on our way we were able to spot the White-beaked Dolphins again.
