Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress according to weather, as it is usually colder at sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: During today's whale watching tour, we experienced all kinds of weather: it started with very little wind and sunshine, then moved onto rain and fog, and for the rest of the tour the swell of the sea started moving the boat around a bit. We encountered two groups of 1-2 harbour porpoises and a lonely grey seal at the beginning of the tour, and about halfway through we could see a big splash created by a humpback whale from a great distance. We hurried towards the area, and found the whale surfacing regularly before taking deeper dives that lasted less than five minutes. This individual, known to us as 'Calamity', suddenly showed a particular interest in our boat. He/she came up right by our starboard (we could see their full silhouette!), and minutes later they reappeared just a meter or two in front of the bow. After this amazing sighting, we returned to the harbour with a wonderfully lit sky to admire and with great memories in mind.
