 TOUR CANCELLED | at 19:00

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 17:00

Report from Eldey:  Whilst enjoying the most georgeous views in the gazing sun, we did go out into Faxafloi Bay for the last time today. Because of the northerly wind picking up steadily, we sailed along the coast towards Akranes to make the ride as enjoyable as possible for our passengers. Along our way we did see a variety of seabirds, such as the atlantic puffin, kittiwakes, arctic terns and the us ever following northern fulmars. Special about this tour was, that we did sail a bit into Hvalfjordur just to check if we might catch some dolphins there. But would this tour be our third-time-lucky? Unfortunately that was not the case. As we did not encounter any cetaceans on our tour, we offered all our passengers complimentary tickets, to come onto another tour with us in the future.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 14:00

Report from Elding: Weather today did not change much from the morning tour. Winds blew a bit stronger but also the sun shone with more force. As we sailed along the eastern side of Faxabay, we were at times sheltered by the mountains but at times also had an adventorous sail, with waves splashing at our boat. But no one had to fear getting wet as long as they were wearing our overalls to protect against cold and wet. As clouds had lifted, we had a scenic view of the landscapes to our west and east. However, whales and dolphins were not sighted on this tour. Concluding, we offered everyone a complimentary ticket to come on another trip with us, wether on the next day or in 2 years time, absolutely free of charge and definitely encouraged all our passengers to go for another try, as seeing our marine mammals is absolutely worth it.

Report from Eldey:  And the weather was holding up with a lot of sunshine throughout the whole tour. While we did enjoy the sun and fantastic scenery, northern fulmars were sailing with us through the bay. But even though we were able spot a lot of other bird life as well, whales or dolphins did not cross our path this time. And as we are just as disappointed as our passengers, we offered everyone to get a complimentary trip on one of our tours in the next two years and we hope to see lots of them again soon.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 10:00

Report from Elding: Winds were blowing strong from the north east this trip, so we seeked shelter along Snaefellsness. Mt Esja and also Akrafjall were along our side and finally, having reached Akraness, we were wonderfully sheltered. Next to a fishing boat there we saw many birds diving and the fishermen seemed to be lifitng a net full of fish into their boat, so we were certain to find also whales or dolphins feeding in this area. Unfortunately, our 3 hour search remained unsuccessful and we offered every passenger a complimentary ticket to give us and the whales here a second chance to show themselves.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE | 09:00

Report from Eldey:  A real icelandic weather today in Faxafloi Bay. We headed towards our ususal spotting area with the company of many artic terns, the animal with the longest migration in the world, probably we enjoyed our last moments with them because soon they are going to fly long distance to Antarctica. Our trip was a bit bumpy and with the side of the waves it was not easy to sppoted the animals so we headed towards Akranes trying to find some shelther from the mountains. We stayed for a while, but it seemed like our huge friends went chasing the fish to another place so we offered our passenger the opprtunity to come back other day and try their luck one more time.
