Report from Eldey: The weather changed drastically for our afternoon trip as we experienced fierce winds from the north. Luckily, we got good shelter from Akrafjlall while looking for whales and we enjoyed fantastic views from the bay as we could see the magnificent volcano of Snaeffelsjokul, more than 100 NM away from Reykjavik. Unfortunately, no cetaceans were seen during this trip so we offered to our passengers complimentary tickets, maybe next time wind will disappear and whales or dolphins will be there.

Report from Eldey: It was below zero when we started our morning adventure but cold air was fresh and clear so we had great visibility. Sun is raising everyday few minutes later so now we had this amazing opportunity to witness sunrise from the sea and winter landscape was gloving in this special kind of soft light. But of course we weren't there just to look at the mountains! Our search for cetaceans was successful. Close by to some flocks of birds big splashes attracted our attention and we saw white-beaked dolphins jumping. Pod of 6-8 delighted us with jumps, tail-slapping and very close approach. Could you imagine better photo or memory from Iceland than jumping dolphins with snow-covered mountains in the background?

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today, it is a very cold day so be sure to make use of our complimentary warm overalls while on the tour. There could always be some movement out on the sea, and we do have free sea sickness tablets at the ticket office for those who may need.
