Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: The wind had picked up this afternoon so there was a few splashes coming over the boat so some passengers had a North Atlantic shower but most didn´t mind as they were wearing floatation suits. The scenery was stunning with a freshly snow capped mountains, dark dynamic skies and the sun was shining. You could see the rain falling in the distance, which luckily stayed off us throughout the majority of the tour. We saw a vast amount of seabirds, fulmars, gannets, kittiwakes and seagulls on this tour, a pod of 2-3 harbour porpoises and a small pod of white-beaked dolphins, at least 2 individuals that were spotted in the distance breaching by one of our passengers and then suddenly appeared playing under and around the boat. It was also quite cold on the tour, the brisk wintery feeling in the air. A lovely but a little lacking of whales unfortunately.

Tour at 09:00
Report from Hafsúlan: The swell was still a little high, leftovers from yesterday´s storm which unfortunately made some of our passengers faces green. We had a quick glanse of a minke whale that most passengers got to see but it was very difficult and surfaced 5 times with very long dives inbetween so when it eventually surfaced the passengers had to be looking in the right place at the right time. Due to the difficulty of our passengers in spotting the difficult whale and the technical problems with the microphone we decided to give our passengers a complimentary ticket to come again in the next two years.
