Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: After a very successful morning tour we knew exactly where to look in the afternoon, so after leaving Grindavík we immediately turned west and it didn´t take us long before we spotted our first Humpback Whale, at first there was a pair of whales. And after watching them for a short amount of time suddenly out of nowhere White-Beaked Dolphins appeared! They surfed the waves in between the two boats and then as quickly as they arrived they had left. And we just kept seeing whales, in total we must have seen at least 6 Humpbacks. And both boats got something extra, Hafsúlan had one whale spy-hop right in front of them and Elding one do a 360 degree roll just beside them. They were certainly in a very good mood today! It was an excellent tour with two different species giving us a show!

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed from Grindavík in the morning and the omens were looking good, a successful tour the previous day put us in a good mood and some nice weather helped. Though it was windy the sea wasn´t too choppy and it was fairly comfortable for most of the tour. The best part of the tour though was the whales, we sailed west and after around an hour we spotted our first Humpback Whale. And it wasn´t the last whale we would see, during the tour we saw 4-5 whales! But that wasn´t the best part! That was what the whales were doing, they were performing every trick they seemed to know! One whale rolled over and threw both of it´s pectoral fins into the air, one whale was lunge feeding right at the surface of the water, they were all lifting their flukes into the air as they dived and the absolute best bit was when at the end of the tour one whale fully breached very near to the boat. It is the best thing you can possibly see with these whales and it left everyone stunned. It is a tour we will all remember, it was fantastic.
