✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE FROM ANOTHER HARBOUR  | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Quite lovely ocean today. We departed from Hafnafjörður since the water conditions were much better on this side of the bay. The ride started under cloudy skies, but we kept dry. The winds were gently pushing us into the bay where we could enjoy nice sights on the landscape since we were having almost perfect visibility. We found some diversity of wildlife out there, with a seal just by the harbour, flocks of swans, great northern divers and several kinds of seagulls, even a hawk, quite rare sighting in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately there were no signs of cetaceans, so everybody was offered complementary tickets to join us for one more ride with Elding.

Birds seen on today´s tour include: whooper swan, glaucous gull, herring gull, eider duck, great northern diver, black guillemot.

We will be sailing out from HAFNAFJÖRÐUR today January 24th at 13:00 due to unfavourable conditions out of the harbor in Reykjavík. A bus will be ready and waiting for passengers here at the Old Harbour and drive off to Hafnafjörður at the scheduled departure time. After the tour we will return to Reykjavík by bus again.

This will result in a longer tour, or between 4-5 hrs. and could impact COMBO tours. Guests that are unable to join the tour because of it's length should contact their travel planner immediately to arrange for a different activity or check for other options provided by them
