Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: the wind was getting down and the sea surface flatter than in the morning tour but still we had long and big under swell since the day after.  The sun was shining on us throughout the hole tour but it seemed that we were not getting as lucky with sightings as were with weather. The bay was not very lively, one and one bird flew over us on the way. Before we got back to Reykjavík we decided to sail towards Grótta and there we were very lucky! Near Grótta we saw two minke whales close to each other, the happiness and excitement after so long searching was great! We followed them both and got a nice look at them. Just amazing ending after a calm sailing on the bay :)

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: the sea was wavy so the boat was rocking quite a lot when we went out on the bay this morning but otherwise the weather was very nice with little wind. The sea got calmer over the tour so the sea was much flatter on the way back to land. We had been sailing for nearly an hour when we spotted few dolphins ahead. These were two groups of white-beaked dolphins, they were really wide spread over a big area and swam calmly in circles. We spent some time with these beautiful animals until we decided to keep on going further out, after few minutes sailing we saw two other groups of white-beaked dolphins! We enjoyed their company when they went by slowly. At the end of the tour the sea was much flatter and over all we had seen around 25 dolphins.
