Tour at 13:00

Again we went out on Faxaflói to look for whales. The weather was colorful to say the least. Sun and a few minutes later snow, and then again sun. We soon spotted the same minke as in the nine o'clock tour and then we went on to try to find the Orcas, but had no luck. Then as one of the snowy showers cleared we started to see from far some splashes. They were caused by hundreds of dolphins. This is something we do not see often. We were able to stay with them for the rest of the trip and it was incredible. It is fare to say we landed some smiling passengers. What a day.

Tour at 09:00

We went out at nine for a whale watching tour and boy did we get a surprise. We had only been sailing for half an hour when we spotted some White beaked dolphins. It was a small family group and after a while we headed on, just to find another family. Because of the lovely whether, the captain decided to head further out on the bay to look for other spices. And we found some Orcas, about 10 of them. We stayed with them for half an hour but then started the sailing back to Reykjavík. But that was about to change because the first Minke whale of the season crossed our path so we gladly stopped and took a look at it. We got some really good photos of both the Orcas and the minkey and we will put them on the website soon. Great tour!
