Tour at 17:00 has been cancelled due to a strong wind out in Faxaflói bay

This time we sailed straight out to Faxaflói bay, the wind had picked up for this tour. We had no luck with finding the whales. On our way home we stopped by Akurey and there were lots of puffins to see so that was great. But despite our best efforts we had no luck with the whales today so we offered our passengers some complimentary tickets to come again on a whale watching tour with us.

On the way out we visited the puffins in Akurey and there were lots of them to take a good look at. Than we headed out to Faxaflói bay in a windy weather, it took us a while until we spotted our first minke whale that popped up very close to the boat and than it was surfacing very close to the boat or only 5-10 meters. We also had other very nice minke whales around the boat that also surfaced really close. In total we were seeing about 6 minke whales. Great tour this morning. Birds seen on the tour.
