CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The afternoon tour looked promising as the sky cleared up and we could have nice views from the entire harbour, with the imposing volcano of Snaefellsjokull in the background. We sailed defying fierce cold temperatures but at the same time we could feel what vikings felt when the came here more than 1,000 yours ago. We traveled out and enjoyed a nice selection of seabirds namily; seagulls, cormorants, eider ducks, guillemots and razorbills. On our search today we got to see one pod of white-beaked dolphins that thrilled us all, with 7 individuals: one calf, one juvenile and five adults that huddled up in a tight pod. They were travelling slowly and at times changing direction, and sometimes giving us a very nice moments when they surfaced very close to our boat. We spent about 30 minutes with them before leaving them in peace and heading home. We surfed on the swell home with the sun on our face. Our beloved mother nature keeps surprising us over and over again! a beautiful tour to remmember.
