Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: After seeing cetaceans so close to land the last few days we were hopeful of a great start once again today. It was a very cold start to the tour as we headed out into the wind. But the sky was beautiful with very few clouds in the sky. There was also a nice orange colour in the sky along the horizon from the sun. We didn't even have to wait 20 minutes before we saw our first blow. We had found our biggest regular species, a humpback whale. We got to see this magnificent creature surface a few times before it headed down into the water. It then breached! The whale had jumped out of the water and created a big splash. Lots of oohs could be heard on board. It was amazing, it was really special to get to see this happen. We then stayed with this individual a bit longer getting to see it blow and surface lots. As we didn't want to disturb this whale too long we then left it to see if we could find anything else. Unfortunately, we didn't see anything else but this was more than okay after getting to see such a good humpback whale sighting before.
