Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: what a day! It was beautiful in soooo many ways. The sunset, the calm seas, the snow capped mountains, blue skies, crisp wintery air, the birds and of course the two outstanding humpback whales we got to witness in the bay today. Yes you heard me...2 HUMPBACK WHALES were spotted in different areas, feeding, travelling, milling. Many times coming close to us to feed on the plentiful fish we could see on our fishfinder beneath the boat. To see the fluke rising as the whale dives deeper in front of the setting sun was too beautiful to put into words, hopefully the pictures will do it justice.

Birds seen on today's tour include: Northern gannets, kittiwakes, black-backed gulls, glaucous gulls, fulmars, eider ducks, shags, cormorants.
