Report from Elding: The wind picked up during our evening tour. Even though we faced westerlies, we had incredible views from the bay. Rainbows, tons of birds a beautiful landscapes were with us the whole tour. Suddenly, out of nowhere a minke whale breached 4 times in a row! It was incredible. Unfortunately, the whale was far a away so when we got closer she dissapeared so we couldn't have a better look to this gentle giant. For that reason, we decided to offer complimentary tickets to our passengers. For sure next time it will be closer.

Report from Eldey: It was raining and windy as we were getting off from Reykjavik. Soon after the beginning of the trip some puffins were spotted. Later on we sighted a group of around 10 white beaked dolphins that seemed to be feeding at the time though later on they showed more like a milling behaviour. Afterwards we encountered a quite active humpback whale that guaranteed a great and spectacular experience. It was so nice that we decided to stay out for longer.

Report from Eldey: We sailed out from Reykjavik Harbour, in nice weather. In the horizon a flock of birds was spotted and we went to check the area out. We where lucky to see some northern gannets dive down with great speed to the water surface. In the area a pod of 6 white beaked dolphins appeared. The white beaked dolphins were very close to the boat, and was easy to spot and follow. Some of them where so close to the boat, it was possible to follow them underwater, looking at their white saddle. In search for other cetaceans we continued further in the bay, and again found a pod of white beaked dolphins. They where easy to photograph and we got some really nice sightings. Unfortunately this tour didn't include other species of cetaceans, but it was a real dolphin experience!
