 TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The strong wind from the East continued and with it the rough sea conditions in the middle of the bay, which yet again forced us to take a route towards the East side of the Faxaflói Bay. We looked everywhere despite the challenging wind conditions, but were unsuccessful in finding any other cetaceans than the 2 harbour porpoises that passed really close off our port bow and were spotted by the crew and several passengers. The rainbows and the sun piercing the clouds at places was what made this tour unique, but still, we gave our passengers a chance to come again for free to try out their luck one more time.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | 9:00

Report from Eldey: The strong Eastern winds were a bit challenging today, but our experienced captain guided us through a sheltered area, providing quite a comfortable ride. Unfortunately our whales left us hanging. It was one of those seldom tours where cetaceans were nowhere to be found. That is part of the deal when working with wildlife, it is simply out of our power. But since we felt like our passengers did not get the experience we know we are able to provide, we offer complementary tickets to all of them, so that they can come back again on another whale watching tour, for free.

Bird species seen on today's tours: great cormorant, eider duck, little gull, glaucouse gull, northern gannet, common guillemot, razorbil

We are sailing from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík today, it is quite windy out on the bay to day so we are expecting some movement on the boat. If your are prone to sea sickness we have sea sickness tablets available. Make sure to dress warmly and make use of our warm overalls as it is always colder on sea than on land.
