Report from Eldey: With the sun shining everything is better and so is whale whatching. The wind was so strong while we were exiting the harbour that I had trouble keeping my balance. Luckily the sea state was pretty calm in comparison. At the usual distance from the harbour where it's not unusual to spot something we saw our first humpback whale of the tour. It was a juvenile in company with another adult. We had a couple of beautiful close encounters where we could see them swim just beneath the surface. Soon enough we went on to another area and saw some other individuals. In total we had about 6 humpback whales of which one jumped out of the water twice at the amazament of all aboard. Excellent!

Report from Eldey: The morning started with overcast sky and a bit of wind coming from land. Nonetheless, conditions for sailing were excellent and the sea was full of life. A good indicator of that was bird activity, with more puffins arriving in numbers to the bay. Apart from that, many whales crossed our path, we could see in a very busy spot a couple of minke whales feeding for a while surrounded by many seabirds. Later on, some humpback whales were spotted due to its characteristic blow. At least, we encountered 6 of them and a nice mother-calf pair among them. In the way back, another minke whale surfaced few times when we were getting close to the harbour. It was a fantastic way to start the week.
