Tour at 17:00
We headed out this evening in nice whale watching weather but later the wind picked up and we had some rain. Unfortunately we didn't spot any whale but complimentary tickets were given. This evening we had the longest trip ever this summer because we really wanted to find some whales but we weren't lucky. What a pity!
Tour at 13:00
It was raining cats and dogs this afternoon and the whales were not easy to find. After searching for a long time we finally found one minke whale. It surfaced four times before taking a deep dive and disappearing. A few times we spotted some harbour porpoises but only for a short time. On our way back to the harbour we found another minke whale but it only showed up twice. So, not many whales and a very wet tour.

Definitely one of the wettest tours of this season but still some good sightings! Saw about 4 different Minke whales as well as lots of Harbour porpoises out in the Faxaflói bay with one Minke surfacing many times quite close to us. Beautiful charismatically wild seas and a nice hot chocolate on the way home made this a true adventure at sea.
