Tour at 17:00

The weather conditions were similar as in the morning. We headed to the same area as in the tour at 13:00 and were greatly rewarded! We spotted two humpback whales!  The first one was a bit smaller, maybe a juvenile, and the second one was very active. It breached two times and tail slapped! It was an extremely nice sighting! :-) We could tell them apart by the size and the pattern on the underside of the fluke. The first one had a black and white pattern and the second one had an almost completely dark underside.

We decided to go further out and to an area where we spotted many whales yesterday. We got rewarded and spotted there three minke whales. Two of them were particularly nice. They stayed together at the same area, were feeding there and allowed us to watch them very well!

Tour at 9:00

The wind blew from south west and we got high waves and as long as we sailed against the wind it was quite exciting. Then suddenly we spotted a minke whale. We followed it a short time and could see it surfacing twice close to the boat. The way back to the harbour was smooth because we had the wind in our back :-)
