Tour at 13:00
Report from Hafsúlan: we decided to take a different route in the afternoon to try to have a gentler tour than we had had in the morning. We sailed towards Akranes and then turned out into the bay. The water was choppy and full of white tops, not quite good conditions for spotting wildlife, but the view was beautiful and we could see far and wide. 1-2 harbour porpoises made a come-and-go visit but hardly anyone saw them. Then a while later the back of a minke whale was seen but it was very difficult to approach; it was moving very fast around, spending a lot of time underwater, and only blowing once. The white tops and the swell did not help. It was unfortunately so difficult to show this minke whale that we felt that the only right thing to do would be to offer all passengers complimentary return tickets so that they can come whale-watching with us again free of charge within the next two years.

Tour at 09:00
Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: due to high number of passengers we sailed out on two boats this morning. The strong and cold wind from north made this tour a bit challenging for us. The boats rocket quite a bit up and down when we headed into the swells and we got few splashes over us so our warm complimentary overalls came well to use on the tour. Elding spotted the first whale of the day, a minke whale that came up between the boats. we soon relished more minkes were around at least two or three. It was difficult to follow them around but we were able to have them around us for about 20 minutes. We also saw the really cute harbor porpoises feeding under few gannets that kept diving down for fish in that area. we stayed around until we were running out of time and had to head back to Reykjavík.
