Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The weather conditions were quite favourable for cetacean detection. But there are a lot of factors that might influence the distribution of whales and dolphins across the area, such as the movement of their prey, which they tend to follow. We were lucky to have our beautiful winter sun shining just above the horizon above the Reykjanes peninsula. The bay was so beautiful with the snowy mountain and amazing landscape around us. With this stunning surroundings we travelled along mount Esja and then we headed towards Akranes and passed the whale fjord. Our wildlife, however, seemed to be on a Monday stroll, making us wait for their appearance. But with a lot of patience and sharp eyes we spotted a pod of likely 7 white-beaked dolphins right by the shorelines of Hafnarfjordur. Amongst the group were two juveniles which were curious at times, even coming to bow ride. What a super pleasant encounter.
