Report from Eldey: It's a winter wonderland in Reykjavík and absolutely worth being out on the ocean. What a beautiful day filled with sunshine, only slight winds and the stunning snow white landscapes all around. Dressed with hats, scarfs and our overalls it was a tour to spend outside. There was a lot of birdlife active all around us and it took no more than half an hour for us to spot the blow of our humpback whale that really seems to have found a liking to the area of Kollafjödur. And we are so glad it has!! While it was feeding for the first hour of us watching it, it kept lifting it's fluke to go down to the fish that were very abundant at about 10 meters underneath the water surface. When it's stomach seemed to be filled, it became more interested in us and came extremely close to the front of our boat, causing many uuuhhh's and aaaaahhh's amongst our passengers. In my opinion, another day in paradise :)
