✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE | at 13:00

Report from Elding: After the sun came out, we went for our second tour of the day. And what a fantastic tour it was going to be. It took us less than 40 minutes before we had our first encounter with a humpback whale. The individual was lunge feeding, with the mouth wide open when surfacing, showing us its baleen plates. We had the animal around us for over 30 minutes, with the boat on a complete standstill. But the animal kept coming back to the boat. When a second boat approached us, we decided to go and look for another whale, which we found after only a few minutes. Of the same species and also feeding near the surface, this individual was feeding lying on its side, with the fluke half out of the water, before it resurfaced to breath and then started from the beginning. Two different feeding behaviors observed in just one tour was truly spectacular. Let's see, if we can discover a third one tomorrow.

Report from Elding: The tour started a bit windy but we were fearless and we faced Faxafloi with tons of enthusiasm. We went to check our usual areas hoping to see as many animals as we did previous days. Unfortunately, we only had elusive encounters with a minke whale and a shy pod of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins. Once we decided to start heading back to the harbour, we were a bit disappointing but the best was waiting for just few minutes away from the harbour. We encountered 3 humpback whales, one of them was breaching and feeding and it came very close to our boat. Our patience was rewarded and everybody left the boat with big smiles.
