Report from hafsúlan: this was just an amazing tour! it was cold while we sailed out but it had at least gotten a little warmer then on the morning tour. We first sailed north for around 50 minutes, soon after we turned the boat towards west we saw an animal coming up in about 300 meters distance, orcas!! We got a very good look at 10-13 individuals, but there could easily have been many more around because they were spread over a big area. these were definitely one of the best orcas that we have seen for a long time. They were very interactive, they often came very close to our boat, they swam under us and sometimes it seemed like they were not less following us then we were following them. Three juveniles were for a long time very close to us and how cheerful they were! we saw them jumping out of the water again and again we also saw them playing in the swells. It was hard to leave these wonderful animals at the end of the tour but we all left happy.

Report from Hafsúlan: It was really cold out on the bay today, with the freezing and strong winds blowing from the north east. When we got further out on the bay we saw a lot of sea birds, that is always a good sign because the birds and the whales are often found in the same areas because they often feed on the same prey. We looked very carefully around but the only signs of cetaceans were 2 harbor porpoises that surfaced not so far from the boat but sadly they vanished soon after we first spotted them. then our captain spotted a blow around 800 meters ahead, we of course went towards it to try to find the whale that had made it, again the captain saw a blow but unfortunately we were never able to see the whale. disappointed and running out of time we had to sail back to the harbor. Because we were not able to get a good look at any cetaceans on the tour we gave our passengers complimentary tickets so they could come with us again.
