Report from Eldey: The fog from the previous tour dissapeared completely and we could enjoy Faxafloi in its whole extension, from Snæfellsnes to Reykjaness. Sailing conditions were excellent today, with great visibility and calm seas. Birdlife was also quite abundant, more than usual and we came across with a pod of 4-5 harbour porpoises and 6-8 white-beaked dolphins. However, these encounters were lasting few minutes so we decided to offer complimentary tickets to our passengers so everybody can enjoy a second chance on-board.

Report from Eldey: It was a long morning in terms of waiting for Sun, and not because of late sunrise but because for first hours of tour we were sailing through thick, milky fog. We couldn´t see further than few meters and it was so quiet like this fog was absorbing also sounds. We enjoyed this unexpected experience. When finally we sailed out we were blessed with blue sky and amazing landscape. There were also huge flocks of birds, mostly black cormorants and northern gannets. We spent good time checking them out and we succeed as while we were watching small and shy pod of harbour porpoises, their bigger cousins made appearance . Pod of around 10 white-beaked dolphins had a short break in their hunt which those animals decided to spend with us. We saw some dolphins jumping, some came close to check us out but when their couriosity was satisfied , dolphins were gone. Our way back was like a pleasure cruising, having a sun bath on the open deck. Nice start of new week.
