Tour at 09:00 Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed out this morning from Grindavík where it was sheltered from the winds. We had an early tour due a school group and we invited other passengers to join. It was very very windy still but the sea conditions were good (not so much swell) It was extremeley cold, however, and our passengers made good use of the overalls and inside saloon to keep warm. We had very high hopes for this tour from Grindavík as the capelin (a fish the whales love to eat) was there but, to everyones amazement no whales were seen. It was though incredible to watch all the birds flying in the strong winds.

Birds seen on todays tour include : Gannets, Kittiwakes, Eider Ducks, Black-backed Gulls, Shags, Cormorants, Iceland Gulls, Red Brested Mergansers, Glaucous Gulls and Fulmars.
