Report from Elding: Wind had calmed this tour but it was still a little chilly out in the bay. We wrapped up warm and went to our usual spot. 2 minke whales graced us with their presence first and they surfaced many times, close and slowly allowing us to get some nice pictures. Then we found the humpback whales, at least 6 individuals feeding on the abundance of food around. After a while the humpbacks were hard to find and they all scattered. In the end we decided to head for home when a tiny minke whales crossed our path. So small and cute. Surfaced many times and looked to also be curious of us. Time was running out and we had to head back to port and saw a pod of 5-7 harbour porpoises on the way.

Report from Elding: Chilly northey winds made the sea a little choppier today and slightly colder than the weekend weather but it was still wonderful out through. Whales were still about and after about 1 hours sailing we spotted blows in the distance. Not one blow but blows, plural. Once closer we could see at least 6 humpback whales and a minke whale feeding under a huge flock of birds. We stayed in this area for about 45mins just enjoying the activity. eventually the food was eaten and the whales went searching for more seperating. we followed a pair south and saw a double breach, two humpback jumping fully out the water one after another. It was incredible. Then a few little splashes of 2-3 harbour porpoises before we had to head back to land.
