      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We started today with a beautiful and sunny morning. We sailed out and we found 4 minke whales!! One of them got very close to us at one point which make the passengers very happy. Later on, as we sailed further, we found a pod of 15 harbor porpoises that were quite active so it was quite surprising for us since these animals tend to be quite elusive. At the end we found a pod of 4 white beaked dolphins when we were heading back. Very nice tour!

      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR I 10:00

Report from Hafsulan: This morning we sailed with a perfect weather: no wind, warm sunny sky and a beautiful and peaceful calm ocean. Temperature also was quite warm and we could say we started the tour in the best way. After a while, we spotted one pod of 4 white beaked dolphins, quite chilled at the beginning and then they started jumping giving us a nice show under the sun glare. Despite the relaxing vibes, we could also spot 5 minke whales all around us, and even a very tiny one, a bit inquisitive. When closer to start our journey back we saw one pod of 3 cute harbour porpoises, quite close. On our way back we admired another minke whale and lots of seabirds too. Very nice!!!

      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We couldnt have asked for better sea conditions today. Smooth sailing throughout the tour. After about an hour in our tour we came upon pod of 5 white beaked dolphins who stayed quite close to the boat and bow ride.
We stayed with them for a while then headed out further to the bay in hopes of seeing bigger cetaceans. But the bay was eerily calm no birds to speak of and no signs of whales. But we did come upon another pod of 6 white beaked dolphins which entertained us until it was time to head back to Reykjavik harbour. It was a dolphin kinda day.

      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 14:00

Report from Hafsúlan: we sailed out today with the fresh Icelandic air on our faces and the sun hiding in between the clouds, but still strong. Not even 20 minutes after we left the harbour, we had our first encounter with a pod of 10 white-beaked dolphins, coming up on the surface almost synchronized. Then, continuing our way, we spotted something ahead of us and saw a minke whale in the area! We could see it a couple of times, before this one decided to play hide and seek. We waited for it a little bit more and then decided to explore other areas. Not too far from it, we saw another pod of white-beaked dolphins, together with another minke in the area. Both were very unpredictable, so we decided to keep on track on the dolphins that were coming up more often. The sea was super calm and so our animals. The breeze was smooth on our faces as we spotted another minke in the area, together with many Sooty sheawaters and Atlantic puffins on one spot. On the way back, we spotted another 2 more dolphins, travelling around, as we admired the sun hitting the mountains on the nice Faxaflói landscape.

      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 17:00

Report from Eldey: We started the tour with good weather conditions. It was sunny, the ocean was calm and we were all very excited. As we were sailing out we were surprised by a pod of 5 white beaked dolphins. We spent some time with them before continue our way. They were acting a little bit elusively. We went further and we found around 4 minke whales feeding in the area we were at. We kept looking around in order to see them since they were acting very elusive as well. After spending some time with them we decided to head back to Reykjavik under a very nice sunny sky

      CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 19:00

Report from Hafsulan: We sailed out with a nice weather and sunny sky. We spent quality time floating on a calm sea in search of wildlife and a light breeze joined us all the time. After a while, we spotted 1 minke whale in the distance and once closer we saw it was a juvenile: sooo tiny, probably not longer than 2,5 mt. It was alone, quite relaxed and not scared about us. We admire this creature alone at sunset and it came even very close to the boat. After a bit we decided to move somewhere else and then I spotted a pod of 5 white beaked dolphins jumping and speeding. It was the best way to end the tour with these animals surfing the bow waves in the golden hour...so magical!!
