Tour at 17:00

Third tour of the day and a fantastic one too! :-) We spotted several minke whales not far out on the bay and were enjoying those sightings when we spotted a big blow in the distance - the humpback whale! We sailed towards it and it was a joy to watch. It showed its fluke before every deep dive and since every humpback fluke is unique for each individual (the pattern on the underside of the fluke) we could recognize it from the morning tours, it was the same individual as then. When we were observing this humpback we spotted another blow a bit further out, so there were two humpbacks in the area! Fantastic! However we didn't sail closer to humpback number two, because the first one kept us very busy - it breached (a great splash, very exciting) and came to the surface with the mouth open, turning to the side and showing us the beautiful and white pectoral fins (flippers). It was a great sight. On the way back to the harbour we spotted several minke whales, many of them very close to land. It was a great tour :-)

Tour at 13:00

We just left the harbour and were still close a shore when we spotted a blow! A humpback whale again! Like this morning it showed all the time its fluke befor it went down to deepdive. Than it started several times to lobtail and than it breached to the excitements of all the passengers! We searched for minke whales and found several but they all weren't in a good whale watching mood. But still we got one minke whale closer to the boat!

Tour at 9:00

This was a fantastic Tour! Again one of our best Tours! We had some harbour porpoises in the beginning of the tour but they actually disapeared very fast again! Very soon we spotted two minke whales together and they belongt to the curious animals. They aproached the boat together and swam beside us, just a few meters away from the boat. They swam with the belly up and we could see their white belly! That does not happen all the time!!!After a long time we decided to leave them because we saw jumping white-beaked dolphins not far away. We had for sure about 20 animals there and could enjoy them a lot!  And to make the tour perfect we spotted a huge blow! We found a humpback whale! It showed several times its fluke, lobtailed and shoed us how powerful it can be!
