Report from Eldey: The afternoon trip was a pleasurable sailing experience across Faxafloi. We delighted our eyes with an incredible view of the bay and the wildlife within. Mountains were wearing an spectacular dress partially covered by fresh snow and seabirds were coming and going elegantly. After a long search, we discovered a pod of 4-5 white-beaked dolphins which came close to the boat few times. Nonetheless, we offered to our passengers complimentary tickets so everybody can return again and hopefully enjoy some whales. However, we had a great time out there.

Report from Eldey: Poseidon has calmed down from yesterday and we were all set for some fine nature experiences. The cold "breeze" and some movement reminded us that we are in the far North after all, but that didn't stop us from seeking adventure. After proximately an hour of sailing we ran into a pod of maybe 6-9 white-beaked dolphins. These creatures being unpredictable around our boats, we were not sure what to expect. But soon enough we realized that they are feeling playful and sociable. They checked us out by coming close to the boat, bow-riding, jumping out and swimming under the vessel. It was a true delight to be surrounded by them. Together with the dolphins there were dozens of hungry northern gannets flying all around. In all that commotion I could spot a young minke whale, but only for two short glimpses. We tried to look for it later, but it was too fast and too well hidden this time. All in all a beautiful tour with lots of action around us. As it always is, all good things must come to an end, so we turned back to the harbour and were contempt with what we've experienced.
