Report from Eldey: And the lucky strike continues today! What a wonderful tour this has been. The winds were supposed to pick up for the afternoon, but thanks to the unpredictability of Iceland that never happened, leaving us a very enjoyable afternoon. The cruise headed towards the area we found the humpback whale in the morning, and oh boy we found it! There were moments that we were having troubles on watching the animal so close it was. We enjoyed one special show for with the whale, but whenever we were trying to leave to another sighting... the whale kept following us! Whenever we managed to say goodbye to our friendly humpback, the tour was going to give us one last surprise. Some ten minutes away from Reykjavik a white beaked dolphin jumped out... and 4 more they followed. The pod was about 8-10 strong, and they were very very playful, giving us some nice last memories for a day to remember. Another nice tour out in Faxafloi with Elding!

Report from Eldey: IN-CRE-DI-BLE. What a tour this morning! The day was starting cold and cloudy, a refreshing ice baptism in the Icelandic style that woke us all up to be ready for what was going to come next. The ocean was good today, with just a bit of swell that was giving the adventurous souls onboard a little bit of extra fun. We were cruising along Reykjanes peninsula towards the area where we have been seeing plenty of whales lately and it took us around 1,5  hours to find our prize, but what we found make everyone speechless. A humpback whale rose up to the surface with the huge mouth wide open and a tall blow following this. We stayed with this feeding whale for almost 45 minutes, during which we saw the animal from every possible angle. It just kept approaching us, surfacing right next to the boat and was simply not leaving the area. Our passengers could even feel the steamy blow of the whale on their faces! We put the gear to the lowest and enjoyed an encounter that for sure won't be forgotten soon. Another wonderful day in Faxafloi with Elding!
