Tour at 13:00 Report from Hafsúlan and Elding. From the large amount of passengers joining us this afternoon we decided to take out two boats so that our passengers would be comfortable and had space to move around the boats. The wind had calmed down a lot this lovely afternoon. When we got out we saw lot of seabirds in the bay. We spotted several Minke Whales in this tour and some of them were swimming very close to the boat allowing all of us to see them very clearly and some were very unpredictable and surfaced 100´s of meters away. We had diving gannets around us and minke whales surfacing in a beautiful weather. Very nice afternoon out on the bay.

Tour at 09:00 Report from Hafsúlan. It was a bit windy when we headed out this Saturday morning. The sun was shining and we were excited about today’s adventures. After a while sailing in Faxaflói bay we spotted a Minke Whale. It was quite small animal, probably a juvenile and was swimming fast around us. We got to see it once very well as it came swimming towards us very fast and very close to the boat! After a while we headed further out and spotted another minke whale along with few Harbour porpoises. This minke whale did not show itself a lot and after a while waiting we had to sail back to Reykjavík harbour.

Seabirds seen on today´s tour included; Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Gannets, Glaucous Gulls and Eider Ducks.
