Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: We are back rocking the seas with our most comfortable and tough boat, Eldey. After few weeks of reparation, our star is back in the water and with great results. As we have been used to last weeks, we started our trip searching in between the islands of Reykjavik because we know that something is going on there. After more than one hour of fruitless scanning, we were about to give up and head towards open waters when a flock of birds caught our attention. There it was, our beloved humpback whale "Viðey", surrounded by an entourage of birds. Probably the most well-known whale in the whole country as it has been roaming around Reykjavik for the last 4 weeks, quite a record! Today Viðey´s mood was resting, maybe trying to recover after the intense day that it gave us the previous day. The whale was clearly sleeping as it was swimming around Lundey. Despite its apparent lack of activity, it was great to observe this animal surfacing in such a predictable way so we could get outstanding pictures of the blow, fluke and dorsal fin as we followed its shadow under water. Apart from our beloved humpback, sailing in between the islands gave us the incredible chance to enjoy birdlife, counting more than 15 different species and a curious harbour seal! Amazing tour for all wildlife lovers.
