Report from Eldey: Another beautiful afternoon out there in Faxafloi: flat seas, sunshine and tons of things to see. In our account we had to add a "pirate looking vessel", a flotilla of small fishing vessel and lots of sightings, it seems that Faxafloi is boiling with life. It took a while to find cetaceans but we came across with a pod of 7 white-beaked dolphins which swam under our vessel and 2 minke whales spotted at different times. These whales were giving us very nice moments when they surfaced very close to our boat and we could also witness a bit of feeding activity. It was a great day to be sailing.

Report from Eldey: First weekend day begun with beautiful weather and flat seas. We sailed where we were yesterday, area recognized last days by many fishing vessels as sea is full of cod and caplin. When we were almost there we already found what we were looking for. Pod of around 10 white-beaked dolphins was heading in our direction, animals were in a human-watching mood and soon we were surrounded by curious dolphins, swimming by our sides and having eye-to-eye contact. Normally pods with calves are elusive, but not today and almost every adult dolphin was with a baby. In distance we saw many more dolphins, feeding or just swimming by, in total maybe 100 of them was around.
